Welcome to the Element of Clement

4am in the morning. I'm bored and I can't get to sleep. Been reading Marvel Civil War lately.

"Civil War is a summer 2006 and winter 2006/2007 crossover event based around a core limited series of the same name written by Mark Millar, and penciled by Steve McNiven. The work builds upon events appearing in previous Marvel crossovers, particularly Avengers Disassembled, House of M and Decimation. Some story elements are the result of the limited series. The tagline for the series is Whose Side Are You On?"

So I guess that explains my msn nick. No it isn't anything about my personal life or whatsoever. Its that tagline.

A brief summary about this story arc. Shall summarise the overall storyline. Nitro(a supervillian from Captain Marvel) blew himself up, injuring 600 people in the neighbourhood. The public is pissed and stuff. The American government put up this thingy called the Superhuman Registration Act. Anyone with superhuman abilities (includes heroes, villians) must register with the act. Masked Heroes or Villians must unmasked themself. Those who signed the act have the option of working with S.H.I.E.L.D with bonus salaries and stuff. Those who denied the registration would be hunted down and imprisoned. As simple as that.

This registration act involves the whole of Marvel universe. There are two sides in this story.
The one approving of the act led by Iron Man. And the opposition led by Captain America. Families are split (take Fantastic Four), Heroes are unmasked (Spider-man), Villians working with Heroes (Thunderbolts with Iron Man), Friend against Friend (Iron Man vs Cap), Heroes died(New Warriors). Quite an interesting line but sometimes there are just too many words for the eye.

Still half-way through and yeah I am abit slow. This arc was published in 2006. Oh well.

Whose side are you on?
